Super happy to share that our educational initiative EXPOLIVA EXCURSION 2023 was successfully carried out!
Apart from visiting the international fair EXPOLIVA, the participants also got to meet various producers, like La Biodiversa Olive Oil (visit to the olive grove and olive oil tasting of the autochthonous Picual variety, Cañada de Avestrud (visit to the olive grove, olive oil tasting and a tour of the bottling facility), Cortijo la Torre (tour of the mill) and Cortijo Espíritu Santo (visit to the olive grove and mill, followed by an olive oil tasting and food pairing 😍).
We also visited the PARAÍSO VIRGEN EXTRA GOURMET specialised olive oil store and tasted varieties grown within the Province of Jaén, such as Royal de Cazorla, Cornezuelo, Hojiblanca, Arbequina, Manzanilla de Jaén and Carrasqueño de Alcaudete, as well as the Centro de Interpretación Olivar y Aceite with a tour of the site, presentation of the center's educational mission and an EVOO tasting session, among them Koroneiki from Jaén 😉. Finally we also had the pleasure to taste EVOOs from the IGP Aceite de Jaénpresented by María Dolores Jaén 💪 during the fair.
👏👏👏 Congratulations to the 12 Greek producers from the Messinia region who represented cooperative and individual production schemes, such as: O.P. Nileas (Messinia) and the award-winning EVOOs The Greek Pony Farm and di Morea (both from Kyparissia), who once again demonstrated in practice their extroverted orientation and drive to reach and maintain excellent quality, while promoting, sharing and enjoying the culture of extra virgin olive oil.
